I have listened to this about 100 times since July 19th 2024. I used it for the cremation service for my dog. I loved him so very much and I will miss him forever 😢

I saw the movie with my grandpa, dad, and brother in 1962 on K-street mall Sacramento. I was 6 years old and this song will forever be on the top of my list. How the West Was Won.

Singing in the rain, tammy and the bachelor...and all the other great actors deano...frank...john...haley mills...jimmy Stewart...they dont make them like that anymore. Back when people actually respected one another.

My mother used to sing this song when I was a young I remember the movie I'm 63 now and live in Northwest Wyoming in the country.

I remember seeing How the West was Won when l was a senior in High School. That was the first time that l heard this song and it has always been heart filling.
This reminds me of "The Green Leaves of Summer" by Frankie Laine as well as "Greensleeves"

Habe den Film oft mit meinem Vater angeschaut. Er war in seinen jungen Jahren ein Westernfan und kannte die Filme aus seiner Jugend. Mutter hat geklagt, dass sie stets Western sehen musste, zur Zeit ihrer Verlobung. Jetzt würden wir gerne zusammen einen sehen. Aber die Zeit gibt und nimmt alles wieder.

My favorite melody is Greensleeves, upon which this song is based. They just changed the lyrics for the movie. Song dates back to Medieval times. Music is timeless.
